This week, Walt Disney Travel Company announced that guests are who booked on a Walt Disney Travel Company package at a Walt Disney World Resort are eligible for kids free dining plans.
In order to qualify, guests must be booked at a Walt Disney World resort. The free Dining Plan is for children ages 3-9 who are listed on the reservation. In order to redeem this offer, the remaining guests in the room must also be on the dining plan, meaning the guest must pay for anyone over age 10 to have the Dining Plan. The Dining Plan that is free for children depends on the resort category a guest is booked. Guests booked at a Value or Moderate category Disney Resort hotel qualify for the Quick Service plan, while those staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort receive the Disney Dining plan free for kids 3-9.
It is important to note that children under 3 are not included in the promotion. Additionally, guests staying at a Value or Moderate category resort can choose to upgrade to the Dining Plan for the difference in the upgrade.
Disney has also stated that if additional promotions are to become available at a later date, they may be added alongside the free dining promotion. This is a rare offer–to stack promotions but it is something that Disney said they will allow in 2026 with this particular offer.
If you are traveling to Walt Disney World in 2026 and have children under age 9, this can be an excellent value and way to prepay for much of your vacation experience. Which resort and Dining Plan is something I personally review with clients based on their vacation goals and budget.
